In 2013, Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra painted the brilliant VJ Day Kiss Mural near the High Line in the Chelsea, New York. The painting was a vibrant, technicolor rendition of the famous photo VJ Day in Times Square, a photo taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt on Victory over Japan Day, August 14, 1945.
