Spiritual baths have been a part of my Cuban culture for centuries as a form of cleansing meant to reset your energy.
Whether you believe these baths have spiritual value or not, they’re luxurious and a great way to show yourself the love and appreciation you deserve for all your hard work.
While there are plenty of things you can add to your bath like milk, flowers, herbs, oils, perfumes, etc., I encourage people to use what the spirit moves them to use. But make it make sense. These baths are intended to bring you calm, healing and restoration. Your ingredients should reflect just that.
If you practice the bath for its spiritual value, fully open yourself up to your Higher Self by clearing your mind and entering a more meditative state.
Because I’m a full-moon groupie, I gladly harness its mysterious energy to add an extra oomph to my spiritual recharge. It’s also a great way to remember to incorporate this ritual into my monthly calendar.
When I’m in a less meditative state, I put on one of my relaxing playlists, and enjoy luxury with no distractions.
To begin, take a shower so you can distinguish the difference between a regular bath and this extraordinary experience.
White Bath Ingredients & Instructions:
Make sure you won’t be disturbed for at least an hour.
• Light your candle(s), scented or not.
• Fill your bath with warm water. The level and temperature is up to you. Not too hot!
Add Core Essentials:
• white flowers of your choosing; remove the petals from the stem
• milk, cow, goat, coconut or other
• coco or shea butter, melted or shavings
• a perfume or fragrance for aroma.
Add Optional Ingredients:
• White Angelica essential oil (“oil of angels”), known for its soothing and calming properties that encourage feelings of protection and security.
• crystal(s) submerged in water, for their healing properties
• Immerse yourself fully into your spiritual experience, submerging even your head under water to release tension it often carries.
• Soak and release all negativity and anything that no longer serves you or your highest good. Invite people and opportunities into your life that elevate you higher. Ask for the wisdom to distinguish between the two.
• When you’re done, do not towel dry. Air dry or put a robe on so the butters, fragrance and oils are fully absorbed by your skin.
• If possible, don’t take another shower or bath for 24 hours.
Don’t have a tub? No problem! I prepare this cocktail and store in a gallon milk container for spiritual baths on the go! We don’t always have the time to unwind for an hour, so when I want to feel fresh and renewed and don’t have time to soak, I rinse myself with my prepared bath after a shower, air dry and go! I still have that so fresh, so clean and recharged feeling!
